MAME DFC
MAME_DFC (MAME - DatFile Creator) is a tool created by ARMAX. It was originally coded for private use of the Pleasuredome staff but was made available for download at http://www.mameguide.info/dfc.html. Its use is explained in Mucci's Guide.
What is does
This tool was not intended for normal users. It is used by people who collect ROMs and CHDs and share them to others. Basically, it's able to:
- compare two dat-files (or MAME/MESS executables) and create a diff-file containing only the new data
- split ROMs and CHDs data to different dat-files
